Schoolhouse Bug and Upcoming Effort
So as many have noticed, 10.5.2 broke Schoolhouse in a way. Some actions cause beachballing (the spinning color cursor) on Intel Macs running the Leopard update. I’m trying to figure out exactly what is causing it, but in the meantime, one user pointed out that if you Get Info on the Schoolhouse app in the Applications Folder in the Finder, and Select the Rosetta option (to force the app to run in PowerPC compatible mode), it works fine. This is a temporary solution for everyone who can’t access there stuff anymore. In the meantime, I wanted to point out that I am trying my best to work on Schoolhouse. As you hopefully understand, schoolwork takes priority every time, and the past couple weeks I have been swamped with work. So Schoolhouse is coming along (including hopefully a fix for 2.1), but I can only work on it when I have the time. I love it, it’s my wonderful own project, but I have to focus on homework and studying when I need to.-L

Take your time Logan, take your time. That small fix with the Rosetta-thing? That’s enough for now
I’m just glad it works.
I’m very much looking forward to SH3, but you just make sure that you release when you’re happy about the product.
Good luck!

Hmm, it seems that the guys at File Maker are muscling in on your turf Logan.

They’ve made the Campus Productivity Kit freely available to students in the Netherlands. Apparently it has most of the functions SH2 has as well.
I’m still rooting for SH3 mind you!

Oh, if I may make one suggestion? I’d love to be able to print the whole list of my homework. This is currently not possible in SH2 and it’s something I’d really love to do

Logan-
AWESOME software! Before, I had just been using MS Word to create a checklist of my homework. This is a much better solution, though, like Cailin, I would love to print my daily, etc. homework list.
Any news on Schoolhouse 3?

Logan,
Have you given any thought to releasing a version of schoolhouse for the iphone/ipod touch? To me it just makes perfect sense to have access to your assignments without having to always drag your laptop around. I know that the code might have to be completely re-written, but hey, there are still a couple of months before classes start.

Logan, taking a hiatus from development?
Hehe, jjuuuust pokin’ fun. Hope you’re having a good summer. Any word on an iPhone version of Schoolhouse? Or just an update to Schoolhouse?
I’d hate to see a project with such potential go down the drain!

Thank goodness for the temporary fix. I’d be an absolute mess without schoolhouse to organize my school year.
Thanks for writing such a great app, it really fills a niche that no other software I’ve used does.

Unfortunately the temporary fix doesn’t work for me anymore =( For some reason Schoolhouse just crashes as soon as I open it, Rosetta or not. The semester has started so I’ve had to find some different software to use but I miss Schoolhouse so much! I can’t wait for the next version!

I love this program so much and I cannot wait for Schoolhouse 3. You really did a great job on this and I’m excited to see it continue to improve. Please don’t give up on it!
